Mission
The aim of I'm a Survivor of Domestic Violence Inc. is to assist all victims of domestic violence in times of great need. Our approach includes immediate help for domestic violence victims as well as long-term solutions. The goal of our organization is to help those most vulnerable gain access to the tools they need to heal and rebuild their lives.
We can provide resources, shelter, food, relocation services if need be, to receive full support to individuals who have become homeless due to domestic violence in communities Clark, and Nye counties in Nevada at this time.
We assist those who have suffered domestic violence, civil and human rights violations, human trafficking, hate crimes, stalking, cyber stalking, aggravated stalking, bullying, cyber bullying, vindictive malicious prosecution committed by any person including elected officials at all levels.
All people deserve a safe and comfortable place "to call home whether it is short term or long term. Our team works tirelessly to make that a reality.
Our foundation offers a variety of programs for grammar schools, and high schools to bring domestic violence awareness, as well as community outreach. Abuse help for preventative awareness, to our future generations so our children, and young adults are aware and equipped with the coping tools needed, surrounding domestic violence awareness and understanding that domestic violence comes in all shapes and colors. Our foundation, provides a comprehensive approach to our certifications programs. Our foundation provides in school classroom certifications programs, with student participation, where our domestic violence coaches, come into grammar and high schools in your communities, and give a 4 hour domestic violence coaching certification, and the students go home with a certification in hand. In addition our foundation offers free legal referrals to speak with legal counsel, for victims to prepare appropriately for upcoming court appearances due to our foundation suggests legal consultations for all victims, to be prepared for your case, while the district attorney prepares to prosecute the defendant, and or defendants that violated your rights. Our foundation offers relocation help for domestic violence victims, as well as placement in shelters, and safe houses if need be, as well as referrals for family counselors, as well as referrals for wellness medical check ups. Our foundation also provides the necessary support, to help victims and their family members to achieve their goals, during recovery from suffering, with some form of PTSD and or chronic PTSD. Our foundation understands, most victims and their family members road to recovery, and the journey of picking up the pieces, is not always an easy journey. That is regarding starting over. Our founder knows first hand, "that support is so crucial, for survivors and victims family members, who may have lost, a loved one to senseless killings" !
Volunteers are the backbone of our organization! Without their unwavering dedication and selflessness, we wouldn't be able to achieve our mission. We recognize the immense value and impact that volunteers bring to our cause, which is why we proudly offer a wide range of meaningful opportunities for individuals to get involved. Volunteers raise domestic violence awareness through a variety of community events. Whether it's assisting in event planning, providing support in administrative tasks, or actively participating in community outreach programs, we ensure there is a role suited for every individual with a passion for making a difference. Our 501c3 non profit organization offers multiple resources, such as virtual one on one, and group meet ups for coercive control awareness, domestic violence trauma, high conflict divorce coaching. Our domestic violence advocates, offer safe house re-location placement in extreme situations. Our organization offers, domestic violence court advocates to appear in court with the victim, Our intake team also offers 24/7 - 365 days a year call center support.
